How much does a small business website cost?
It depends on page count and how much of the content I'm writing versus supplying. Most small business sites fall in the mid three figures; a single-page personal or portfolio site is less. You get a fixed quote after the discovery call, before any work begins — no hourly surprises.
How long does it take to build a website?
A single-page site typically takes one to two weeks from approved scope. A multi-page business site with custom copy usually runs three to five weeks. The biggest variable is how quickly content, photos and feedback come back from your side.
Do you only work with businesses in one area?
No. Everything is handled remotely by video call, email and a shared preview link, so I work with clients anywhere in the United States. Local optimization is still tuned to your specific service area, whether that's one town or several states.
Will my website actually show up on Google?
Every site launches technically ready to rank: crawlable markup, structured data, fast load times, and a submitted sitemap. Nobody can guarantee a position — anyone who does is selling something. What I can guarantee is that nothing on the technical side is holding you back, and that the site targets the terms your customers actually search.
Do I own the website when it's finished?
Yes, completely. The domain, hosting account and source files all live in your name. If you want to be completely hands off, I offer domain and hosting at a fixed rate. If you ever want to move to another developer, you take everything with you — there's no proprietary platform to unwind.
Can you fix the website I already have?
Often, yes. That's what the optimization service is for. I start with an audit of speed, indexing and on-page structure, then tell you honestly whether it's worth repairing or whether a rebuild would cost less than the patching.
What do you need from me to get started?
Your logo if you have one, a list of the services you want featured, any photos you'd like used, and your contact details. If you don't have a logo or copy yet, that's a normal starting point — we'll work it out on the call.
